Job Description Job Description Join our warehouse team and be part of a hard-working and reliable crew Warehouse Team Members at Red Horse Seed Production are responsible for packaging, receiving, and loading product to fill orders, as well as organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse for orders. We have two positions available at the following locations: Row Crop Division: 1021 SW 10th Street, Madison, SD Small Grains & Forages Division: 306 S Washington Ave, Madison, SD Duties & Responsibilities Assist with shipping and receiving by unloading trucks and checking inventory. Package product in paper, mini bulks, pro boxes, and bulk.
Pick and stage loads. Work closely with Warehouse Supervisor on bagging requests, pick slips, and all inventory processes. Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Keep warehouse and work area organized and orderly at all times. Use and wear proper safety equipment. Use forklifts safely and properly for duties.
Maintenance of all company equipment (trucks, conveyors, augers, forklifts, and other equipment used). Keep products in compliance with seed standards (i.e., bin checking and sample taking). Assist at other Red Horse Seed Production locations if needed.
Perform other duties as assigned. Skills & Qualifications Detail-orientation, problem-solving, and customer service skills. Ability to work well with a team.
Forklift certified (will train and certify upon hire). Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) preferred, but not required. Valid driver’s license.
Working Conditions Hours of Operation: Monday-Friday 7:30am – 5:30pm and Saturday (as needed) 7:30am – 12:00pm (may be closed some Saturdays depending on workload and/or weather). Additional overtime is expected during spring and fall; overtime is available depending on work. Dust (masks provided).
Exposure to all weather elements (winter clothing allowance provided). Physical Requirements Need to be able to climb ladders and into bins. Need to be able to lift 70 pounds.
Required to work in extreme weather conditions all four seasons.
