We have an exciting opportunity for a Forklift Operator to join our family The Role The warehouse associate and forklift operator will be safety conscious and safely operate sit-down forklift and is responsible for locating, moving, and stacking materials in the warehouse, as well as loading and unloading trucks. Additionally, the forklift operator will perform other warehouse duties such as labeling, organizing pallets packaging shipments, checking inventories and assisting with inventory counts. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Operate a forklift, or other machinery used for transporting or shipping materials Accurately pick, pack, check, and load materials/products as well as label and sort incoming and outgoing shipments Receive, identify, and stock incoming materials as per Receiving Procedures Inspect shipments for proper quantity and sign off manifests, noting irregularities and reporting damaged or lost products Stack loads according to inventory-control instructions and assist in all inventory control procedures, including physical counts Move materials, safely and responsibly, around facility using pallets and crates and track of the location of goods Identify source materials, prepare, and stage materials according to schedule Interact with customers and vendors and ensure GMP’s & PPE requirements are met in designated areas Responsible for inspecting and maintaining equipment, including routine forklift maintenance, to ensure safety and identify repair needs Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely, wipe down equipment after use, and store machinery in the proper place Assist warehouse team in keeping work area, dock, and warehouse clean and safe for customers, vendors, and other employees Responsible for completing forms, maintaining accurate records, and following safety rules, operating instructions, and policies and procedures Assist with inventory including entering counts into Microsoft Excel ensuring no discrepancies or losses Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations, including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and foster a positive work environment across all organizational level Display ownership, responsibility, good judgment, initiative, and resourcefulness Ability to change, adapt and work well under pressure in a rapidly changing environment Detail oriented with strong organization and time management skills Must demonstrate ability to work independently and collaboratively, effectively adapting to both supervised and unsupervised tasks Other duties as assigned Work Environment and Physical Demands: Ability to work in environments with extreme hot and cold temperatures, humidity, hazardous/loud equipment, and slippery surfaces Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus Able to reach with hands and arms and use hands to handle or feel and talk or hear Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time Able to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and stretch for extended periods Ability to lift 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to75 pounds Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent – At least 18 years old and a valid driver’s license Minimum 2 years’ forklift operator experience Forklift Certification preferred Basic counting and math skills and able to read and write in English functionally Bilingual – English/Spanish a plus Computer literate including Microsoft Office 365 a plus Pay: Depends on experience – Starting pay $17.00 Benefits: Health Insurance Dental and Vision Insurance Paid time off Schedule: 8-10-hour shift Day Shift Monday to Friday Weekend and night availability if applicable
