Job Description Job Description Shipping & Receiving Associate Temp to Hire Pay: $16.00/hour M-F 8:00am – 5:00pm with possible OT Description: The Warehouse Associate is responsible for coordination and movement of materials within the Distribution Center and other areas; shipping, receiving, stocking, order picking, packaging, labeling, and loading product for shipment; or accepting, verifying, and recording of incoming materials from outside vendors and physically lift, place, and carry items weighing up to sixty-five (65) pounds for moderate distances. Must be able to drive industrial truck equipped with lifting devices such as forklifts, order pickers, reach trucks Experience with UPS WorldShip, shipping & receiving parts with lots a PLUS Essential Functions: Control flow of shipping and receiving, loading and unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders and distributing to shipping and receiving office associates for processing Reading customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped Moving materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas; palletizing inventory from receiving bays to pallet rack stock locations Sorting and placing materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, rack location, or product code. Assembling customer orders from stock and placing orders on pallets or shelves, preparing parcels for shipping, or relocating orders to designated areas Read and interpret material control documents to determine required actions.

Ensures that transactions are completed in an accurate and timely manner Operate sit-down forklift and other material handling equipment to receive, load and transport material to designated locations in a safe and efficient manner Weighing and counting items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards Verify accuracy of paperwork and material identification. Take appropriate action to correct identified inaccuracies Numerous miscellaneous general warehouse tasks, including 5s tasks/activities and department improvements Maintain confidentiality of customer and company data Qualifications: High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment utilizing a computerized materials management system Must have sit-down forklift experience and knowledge of loading and unloading trucks, moving pallets in and out of racking and tight spaces
