Job Details San Antonio Food Bank – Main Building – San Antonio, TX Full Time High School or GED Equivalent $18.00 Hourly Negligible Day Warehouse Description Is responsible for shipping and receiving products. Inspect incoming loads prior to unloading to ensure proper temperature, no signs of pest activity and cleanliness of truck. Record any discrepancy on receiving log.

Racks and replenishes products as needed. Will be required to select product orders and quality control completed orders before distribution. Identify and classifies food and grocery products using warehouse stock classification list.

Weigh, count and record amount of sorted and unsorted food boxes, received or distributed, to ensure conformance with invoices and bills of lading. Assist in conducting inventory. Always act as an ambassador of the San Antonio Food Bank when conducting business with donors, potential donors, partner agencies and donation recipients.

Maintains assigned aisle and warehouse cleaning task. Assist in pest control and ensures white band area is clean and free of obstruction. Inspects equipment prior to use.

Accepts additional duties as assigned. Qualifications High School degree or equivalent Forklift/pallet jack certified Able to lift and or move up to 50 pounds Attention to detail, accuracy and the meeting of deadlines Must have a valid driver license, material handling equipment license/certification and any other permit/license required to perform duties Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hand and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch; talk, hear and smell. Employee must have the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by the job include: close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Work Environment The work environment is primarily indoors, but may load and unload product from vehicles outdoors. If assigned to the cooler/freezer area, temperatures range from 38° to -11°.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but could increase based on the machinery operating at the time.
