Shipping & Receiving Westminster, CO (http://maps.google.com/maps?qWestminsterCOUSA80234) Apply Job Type Full-time Description Summary: This position is responsible for helping and backup needed of the shipping and receiving areas. This position will ensure that all shipments are properly packaged, contain the right documentation and data packages, and shipping forms are properly completed to ensure package arrives at final location in satisfactory condition, along with responsibilities for receiving of parts and materials into the organization and ensuring that parts are properly accounted for in the system and inventoried by part identification. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
Others may be assigned: Shipping: – Check parts for visible damage and contact quality if questionable product nonconformance – Bag and seal the parts and identify with the Part Number for the final product as required – Properly pack the product, parts and paperwork per best practices to ensure product is delivered to the customer free of damage – If required by the customer contract, package the product per the customer specifications and ensure all requirements are met – Ensure international shipments contain the international paperwork required for that shipment – Accurately complete the shipping label and the packing slip and update the tracking information in ERP to ensure traceability – Process shipments in the ERP system, ensuring accurate inventory relief Receiving: – Check e-mail for status of overnighted items and determine priority for receiving product – Assess the condition of the box or package and record on the shipper the location and condition of any visible damage – Count the parts and verify that the count and part number match the pack and attach in ERP to ensure traceability – Verify that package contains the required certifications and paperwork and notify Procurement if it is missing for corrective action – Accurately receive each item into ERP receiving in each line item on the PO and scan and attach certificates – Receive dock to stock items evaluating and counting parts and stamp paperwork to indicate receipt – Properly route dock to stock parts to inventory and all others to Quality for inspection – Provide back-up for pulling Material Orders when needed (see Material Handler I Position Expectation) General: – Work with manager to set and maintain a personal development plan to grow skills and abilities – Identify process improvements with the goal of increasing efficiency and elevate to leadership – Clean and sweep the shipping area daily to ensure an organized and safe work environment – Additional duties as assigned Requirements Qualifications: To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); related experience and/or training. Relevant parts pulling or warehousing experience. Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: The ability to read, and interpret English documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and reports, drawings and schematics.
The ability to write and/or type routine correspondence or reports. The ability to perform simple shop math including use of decimals, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure. Computer literacy with ERP program, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk, hear and see. Repetitive movement is also required.
Must be compliant with FAA Manual vision test and color blindness test. The employee is required to sit, walk, stoop, bend and move about in an office area/shop area. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.
The employee must regularly lift, move, push, and/or carry up to 25lbs occasionally lift, move, push, and/or carry up to 50lbs, and rarely lift, move, push, and/or carry up to 100lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust and focus.
