Look no further, because Valley Machining in Rock Valley, IA is looking for a dedicated individual to join our team as a Shipping and Receiving associate. As a Shipping and Receiving team member, you will play a vital role in ensuring the seamless delivery of goods and materials to our customers and internal departments.
Responsibilities: Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against purchase orders Prepare outgoing shipments by packing items securely and labeling them accurately Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries Maintain accurate records and traceability of all incoming and outgoing shipments Assist in inventory management by conducting periodic counts and audits Load and unload shipments using forklift, overhead crane, and other material handling equipment Qualifications: Prior experience in a Shipping and Receiving role preferred Ability to operate a forklift Able to lift 80 lbs Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Integrity; conduct oneself in an ethical manner Excellent communication skills Good housekeeping skills Ability to follow company safety and quality policies Basic computer skills At Valley Machining, we take pride in delivering exceptional products and services to our customers.
