Job Description Job Description Materials Tech Are you an experienced Shipping and Receiving Coordinator? Are you looking for work in the Louisville Area? Qualified Staffing is hiring for our client, an Automotive Supplier company located in Louisville, KY and we want you Schedule: B Crew: Tues-Fri 6:00pm-4:30am Pay Rate: $17-$18 per hour (When hired permanently will go up to $19) Summary: Manages the incoming/outgoing of trucks, Material Handlers, etc.
Ensures documents, ASNs, etc. are timely to ensure there is no impact to the Customer and the company. Responsibilities: Receives, reviews, and processes requests for materials, supplies, and equipment needed for specific projects and general activities.
Determines accuracy of paperwork by closely reviewing pertinent information on documents and follow the procedure and work instructions. Monitor FIFO Split Errors “Red Screens” in a timely manner to avoid shipper / shipment delays and issues. Review Receiving location (in the ERP System) at the end of the shift to confirm all material that has been received has been scanned from the Receiving location to a Storage location.
Review Lineside and storage locations (view in ERP System) to ensure material has been scanned to the correct lineside and storage locations. Review load plans daily to ensure dunnage loads/empty trailers are ready to ship at designated pick-up times. Validate glad hand locks are on trailers (any trailer with material, dunnage, equipment, etc.).
Material Handlers must adhere to all Piston policies and procedures. Ensure material is delivered to line-side locations timely to avoid shipper / shipping issues. Identify and support continuous improvement ideas.
Dock / Lot Control (Plant specific) Receive MRO items, distribute and locate as required. (plant specific) Return / ship supplier dunnage via Echo Trak. Review shippers to ensure all information is accurate prior to shipping to the customer (plants where applicable to this role). Rechecks quantities and condition of materials delivered and takes corrective action when appropriate; verifies / confirms receipt of shipments.
Prepares information and reports as required. Must follow the procedure and safely operate a gas, electric fork-lift, tugger to move, stack, load and unload material within the facility. Serves as Team Leader to Material Handlers.
Keep and retain shipping and receiving records and documents as required. Exemplify leadership abilities that encompass minimum supervision authorities. Perform routine cycle counts of parts and or components.
Support physical inventory. Monitor, reinforce and audit FIFO. Train Forklift Operators Produce system shipper or manual shipper for all outbound freight.
Toyota One Way Kanban Process. (plant specific) Transmit ASN (Advanced Shipping Notice) systematically. Contact customers, suppliers and carriers as required and maintain professional relationships. Develop forms as required for follow-up purposes.
Stage. Load or transport material and containers as needed. Receive inbound material via PLEX and CMMSIII (as required).
Report shortages of components and finished goods. Review plant layout to ensure all containers and materials are placed in proper location. Facilitate and lead 5-S activities.
Monitor and update truck board. Monitor and respond to Plex monitor. Qualifications: High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
