Job Description Job Description Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team. The Material Handler is responsible for the efficient movement, storage, and control of materials within our warehouse or production facility. This role ensures accurate inventory management and timely delivery of materials to support production and shipping schedules.
Key Responsibilities: Loads, unloads, and moves materials within plant facility. Manage material by identifying and recording the location of material. Loads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit, using hand tools.
Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely. Perform regular inventory counts and report discrepancies. Assist with loading and unloading trucks and verifying shipments.
Collaborate with warehouse team and other departments to ensure timely material flow. Organize and maintain a clean, safe, and efficient warehouse environment. Follow company safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous warehouse or material handling experience is a plus. Ability to operate forklifts or willingness to be certified.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Basic computer skills for inventory management. Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs regularly.
Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or in a team environment.
