Overview
Temp Operates forklift and crane according to safety guidelines established during training. Criteria: Does not deviate from forklift and crane operation procedures for any reason. Those procedures were established for the safety of Employees and Customers.
Loads Customer vehicles with regard to the safety of the Customer and the vehicle. Criteria: Takes great care in loading slabs onto Customer vehicles, taking into account the capacity of vehicle and the capacity/suitability of the “A-frame” or rack for holding the slab. Careful not to damage Customer vehicle with forklift, crane, or slabs.
Loads and unloads commercial and company trucks with regard to the safety of co-workers and the vehicles. Keeps on the look out for safety hazards in the warehouse, and reports any hazards to the Manager or Supervisor. Works as a team member with other Employees by accepting, completing and handing off tasks.
Ensures the branch environment is safe for Customers. Packs orders accurately and fills out warehouse paperwork completely. Sweeps warehouse floors, parking lots, and loading areas.
Also dismantles shipping bundles and crates and disposes of the debris. Participates in physical inventory counts as required by the Manager or Supervisor. Criteria: Shows up on time for Physical Inventory; counts accurately; writes legibly.
Prepares slab orders and transfers for shipment
