Job Description Job Description Job Summary: The Warehouse Inventory Specialist is responsible for executing floor and shipping activities within a Houston-based warehousing operation. This role supports industrial operations by stocking and managing strategic spare parts and operating consumables while maintaining a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and accuracy. Essential Job Functions: Safety & Compliance: Promote a safe work environment and foster a strong safety culture.
Work toward achieving zero accidents, lost time incidents, or recordable incidents. Adhere to all safety protocols and warehouse regulations. Receiving Incoming Material Shipments (Physical & Electronic): Unload shipments and inspect for damage or content discrepancies.
Accurately document and quarantine rejected shipments when necessary. Ensure all materials are correctly labeled and reviewed for compliance. Stock accepted shipments appropriately in the warehouse.
Work Order Fulfillment (Maximo Inventory Reservation Requests): Process work orders received from the National Warehouse Customer Service Representative or Administrator. Pick and stage materials for shipping, ensuring order accuracy. Mark work orders for picked or back-ordered materials.
Package materials securely and generate shipping labels. Load outgoing shipments and coordinate dispatch. General Warehouse Operations: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse.
Oversee material quarantine area and process. Assist with cycle counts and annual physical inventory. Execute special warehouse projects as needed.
Cost-Saving Initiatives: Identify and implement inventory purchasing and shipment savings opportunities. Qualifications: Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (Required) Experience: Minimum of two years’ experience in inventory/assets management (Required). Experience with Oracle or SAP (Preferred).
