Job Description Job Description Job Title: Material Handler and Forklift Operator Pay: $17.50 – $19.50 Schedule: 1st and 2nd Shift Availability Job Summary: This position is responsible for safely and accurately handling, storing, and distributing materials, products, and supplies. Key Responsibilities: Material Handling: Load and unload trucks, receive and check shipments, and move materials and products within the warehouse. Equipment Operation: Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment as necessary.

Follow safety procedures and maintain equipment in good working condition. Quality Assurance: Inspect materials and products for damage, defects, or discrepancies and report any issues to the supervisor. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety regulations and guidelines, and actively promote a safe working environment.

Teamwork: Maintain good communication and work in a team-oriented environment. Product Knowledge: Gain knowledge of the products being handled, including their packaging and handling requirements. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous experience in material handling, warehousing, or a manufacturing environment preferred. Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification (training may be provided). Basic math skills and the ability to use inventory software or systems.

Ability to lift and move materials (up to 50 pounds) and work in a physically demanding environment. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy materials for extended periods. Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
