Job Description Job Description Job Title: Material Handler Job Description Join our team as a Material Handler where you will play a crucial role in operating a forklift and performing material handling tasks. This position requires attention to detail, safety consciousness, and the ability to perform various machine operations and preventive maintenance tasks. Responsibilities Operate rainware roll former/slitter at the shop.

Set up and operate all functions of assigned machines and equipment. Make adjustments to machine settings for material thickness, clamp placements, and work order requirements. Inspect parts using tools such as tape measures, scales, calipers, and computerized measuring devices.

Read and complete production orders accurately. Perform secondary operations, such as cleaning, on manufactured parts as required. Arrange parts as needed for production and store raw stock, partially completed work, and completed jobs appropriately.

Perform basic preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment. Conduct visual safety checks for machine wear, damage to tooling, and correct positioning of safety guards. Assist other machine operators and departments with warehouse and production work.

Follow all safety regulations, maintain a clean and orderly work area, and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Essential Skills Proficiency in material handling, forklift operation, and inventory management. Experience with picking, packing, RF scanners, loading, packaging, pallet jacks, and sit-down forklifts.

Skills in shipping and receiving, warehouse inventory, order picking, cycle counts, labeling, and inventory control. Competence with computer use for production orders and measuring devices. Additional Skills & Qualifications Physical ability to stand, reach with hands and arms, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Capability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift, with assistance, up to 100 pounds. Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently. Why Work Here?

Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sacramento, California. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 – $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
