Job Description Job Description Duties / Responsibilities: Load per payload weight capacity, securely strap the load, transport, and deliver items to construction projects or businesses in a safe, timely manner. Review orders after and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, the charges are correct, and the customer is satisfied. Assist with loading and unloading items from vehicles.
Maintain information on the computerized database tracking the current status and disbursement of equipment. Facilitate the shipping of products from one destination to another. Respond to shipping complaints, lost items, damages.
Arrange transportation and orchestrate deliveries to meet field user demand with little to no delays. Receive products according to standard procedure and coordinate deliveries as required. Prepare loads for shipments, ensure all safety procedures are followed.
Take steps to avoid quality control issues. Makes sure warehouse capacity is kept at optimal levels or informs management of deficiencies. Manages activities throughout the order fulfillment and transportation cycle to meet established deadlines.
Oversees inventory of goods and vehicles related primarily to construction projects. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor. Minimum Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent. Associate’s degree preferred but not required.
Experience in logistics management preferred Minimum of two (2) year’s warehouse work experience Must have active and clean, non-restrictive, state issued driver’s license in State where hired. Ability to work days, weekends, evenings and holidays and participate with on-call rotation as needed. Must have a DOT medical card to operate a commercial motor vehicle.
Be at least 21 to drive across state lines. Experience with Pre-Trip and Post – Trip inspection Checklist of a commercial vehicle.
