Various tasks may be assigned under each task or function. The incumbent performs other job-related duties as assigned and required. Job Summary: Reports to the Fulfillment Manager and is a support to them.
The Fulfillment Supervisor is responsible for managing all the activities related to the fulfillment process. These duties include: product fabrication and order preparation, collation, packaging and shipping. Supervisors are responsible for workflow management and informing the Manager of staffing concerns.
The Supervisor will cross-train on multiple jobs, and will assume some Manager duties when the Manager is away. Duties and Responsibilities: Works on computers such as by managing emails and entering inventory into the system Manages and improve the workflow processes and procedures Provides recommendations for developing future automated order pickers Ensures workflow is accurate, efficient, and completed on-time Prioritizes, facilitates & expedites all production activities to meet due dates Analyzes orders and budget work-hours of employees Budgets the efficient use of materials and overhead Analyzes financial performance and recommends financial improvement plans Delivers disciplinary actions to employees as appropriate Ensures timecards are accurate, complete, and collected on-time Ensures report data is accurate, complete, and collected on-time Has ability to analyze data and provide reporting for : Equipment Utilization Production Cost Production Methods Delinquency Data Schedule Management Data Minimize freight expenses by being privy to shipping systems and delivery options Leads by example by working hard and having positive interactions with other departments Communicates and upholds department policies and procedures to the Department Conduct candidate interviews, maintain a productive staff and report staffing needs to the Manager Establish and schedule all training activities for the department Conduct performance evaluations for employees All other duties as requested, including supporting other departments Education and Experience: 5 years of practical management experience 3 years of supervisory experience Knowledgeable in all aspects of Fulfillment systems, techniques, and principles, preferred Familiar with shipping via UPS and FedEx Previous experience in Department budgeting and management is preferred Proficient in working on Computers and MS Qualifications, Skills, Abilities and Competencies: Highly organized and detail-oriented Motivated by excellence and is results driven Has great leadership skills Give and take instruction and work with minimal supervision Must possess proficient skills in managing: Priorities Time People Self-motivating and self-managing Excellent English verbal and written communication skills Manage large workloads, and maintain high quality and accuracy of work Meet deadlines and mitigate disruptions to work flow Proficient in math such as arithmetic, fractions and percentages Thrives in a dynamic work environment with rapidly changing priorities Ability to pass a basic skills test Able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs Work scheduled mandatory weekends and overtime Is safety conscious Build effective relationships and build an effective team Has great problem-solving skills related to production, employees and clients Project management skills and ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects Work well with a team and contribute positively to GSP culture Physical demands: PC/Keyboard: Working on computers, using keyboards and viewing screens Standing: Standing for entire assigned shift Lifting: Raising or lowering an object from one level to another (Includes upward pulling) of up to 50 lbs Carrying: Transporting an object, usually holding it in the hands or arms, or on the shoulder Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction Feeling: Ability to identify texture of material such as if lamination has been applied and being able to distinguish different gauges of material thickness Talking: Verbal communication including giving instruction and exchanging information with necessary detail and delivery Hearing: Communication including listening to people convey instructions or conversation, and distinguishing noises from machines and within the plant Job Posted by ApplicantPro
