Job Description Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to ensure efficient movement of goods throughout the facility. This role requires attention to detail, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members.
Duties Operate forklifts, including clamp trucks and pallet jacks, to load and unload materials from trucks and storage areas. Perform materials handling tasks, ensuring proper organization and storage of goods within the warehouse. Conduct order picking duties, accurately selecting items for shipment based on customer orders.
Assist in building pallets and preparing shipments for delivery. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and team members to optimize workflow and efficiency.
Participate in routine equipment inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly. Experience Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting is preferred. Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques and safe material handling practices is essential.
Experience with cranes or other heavy machinery is a plus. Knowledge of warehouse management systems and order picking processes is advantageous. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety guidelines consistently.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
