Overview
Palmer Logistics is seeking an experienced Warehouse Site Manager to oversee our sites in Baytown. This hands-on leadership role requires a results driven professional with strong operational, customer service and team management skills. Key Responsibilities: Location Oversight: Manage all aspects of the warehouse, including inbound and outbound operations, customer service, inventory control and safety compliance.
Customer Service: Ensure customer’s logistics needs are met efficiently and effectively. Operations Management: Supervise warehouse floor activities, ensuring timely and accurate handling of various customer products, including hazardous materials. Hands-On Leadership: Be actively involved in warehouse operations, including operating forklifts, reach trucks and other equipment as needed.
Technology & Reporting: Utilize Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, to manage data, track performance and generate reports needed by upper management. Financial Management: Oversee the site’s profitability by reviewing and verifying Profit & Loss (P&L) statements and proactively implement cost-effective solutions. Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to ISO 9000 standards and hazardous material handling regulations.
Team Leadership : Motivate and train employees, developing high-performance culture in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business or related field preferred. Must have at least 6 years of Management Experience in Distribution/Logistics – 3PL Preferred.
Proven experience in warehouse management role (preferably in a 3PL environment) Proficiency in WMS and Microsoft Excel Experience managing P&L statements and operational cost savings. Strong Leadership skills with ability to train, develop and motivate associates. Hands-on experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, and other warehouse equipment .
