Overview
Job purpose We are looking for an experienced and reliable Material Handler-II to join our warehouse team. This role requires a candidate with receiving and inventory control experience who can take on additional responsibilities in inventory coordination and team support. Material Handler-II will oversee accurate and efficient receipt, inspection, and processing of shipments, collaborating with internal teams to maintain high inventory standards and support the training of fellow Material Handlers.
This position is for 1st Shift from 7:00am to 3:00pm Duties and Responsibilities Receive and inspect incoming shipments, validating the accuracy and quality of goods against purchase orders and reports. Lead the team in maintaining accurate and timely documentation of all received items in the inventory management system. Conduct in-depth inspections of shipments to ensure they meet company standards, including detailed discrepancy reporting and follow-up.
Assist with or conduct root-cause analysis on discrepancies or inventory issues and implement corrective actions as necessary. Ensure organization, cleanliness, and safety of the receiving areas, including setting up best practices for efficient workflow. Collaborate closely with logistics, procurement, and supply chain to coordinate deliveries and handle challenges.
Support the training and mentoring of material handlers and provide feedback for process improvement. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required 2 years of experience in a receiving clerk, inventory control, or warehouse role, with expertise in inventory systems. 3 years of Forklift experience; standup experience required Proficiency in inventory management software (such as SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems). Strong attention to detail, exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with internal and external partners. Working Conditions Must be able to work any/all shifts as directed Must be able to work overtime as necessary, including Holidays and/or weekends Standing/walking for long period of time Must be an avid Safety Champion and adhere to all safety programs and procedures Physical Requirements A non-slip-resistant work shoe Pre-shift stretch and exercises to be performed Hair restraint, beard net (if needed), and Safety gloves as needed All required PPEs are worn properly when working with equipment or chemicals that require personal protection Position requires the ability to: stand, sit at a desk, walk around the facility, lift and carry up to 50-LBS unassisted, reaching, kneel, crawl, and twist.
